This day July 6,2011 was GREAT. Of all the people that visit Alaska, less than 30% see Mt Denali (McKinley) and of that less than 10% see it as clear as we got to see it. This photo is about 30 miles out.

Wanda and Elaine (my sister) with Mt Denali.

Mt Denali about 8 miles out and 8000 feet high from the cockpit of the plane.

Adjacent area, how beautiful.

Ruth Glacier, notice the debri field that occurs when 2 glaciers run together.

This looks like a good place to land going up hill (can't use brakes).

Camping anyone ?

Or; would you like a room with a view. $200 a night Plus Transportation In and Out.

Did I say that it was a great day. I'd would had my flip flops on if they would have let fly with them on. Mt Denali in the back ground.

The Plane and Mt Denali in the back ground.

We ran into Diana and Tony Morris in Talkeetna after the flight all the way up from Bushnell, FL

Takes it's toll on some folks.

They finally arrived after all the airplane trouble, changing planes in Atlanta, rebooking, missing planes in Seattle and spending the nite in Seattle. They are in time to have some cool fun. We went Salmon fishing with Elaine and she had fun,Nine (9) Sockeye Salmon altogether. First they unloaded all the fresh veggie's they brought. Squash, Tomatoes and Cuke's. From the upper 90's & lower 100's to the cool wet 50's, Elaine got cold. BA did not go fishing with Bennit, Elaine and I. She went to town with Bea & Wanda. It rain all day fishing but the fishing was great. We were the only ones catching any. This make a total of 16 Sockeye, 6 King Salmon and 12 Halibut .
